The software listed below is the current software used at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
** Duplicate software is not required on both platforms, it can be used on either platform.
Windows Apple
Microsoft Office 2007**
Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection CS4**
Autodesk 3D Studio Max 2009
Microsoft Office 2008 Professional**
Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection CS4**
Note: Software recommendations are made only for the first several quarters, this is not the software that is used throughout the entire Academic Program. Due to industry requirements software may upgrade during the student's time at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. To avoid upgrade costs, we recommend NOT purchasing all required software until the course requires it.
Hardware requirements are based on current industry requirements. Due to the rapidly changing industry standards and software requirements, The Art Institute of Pittsburgh cannot insure that hardware recommendations made, will not change throughout the course of the program. It is the responsibility of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh to teach industry standard software to prepare the student for a position in their related field of study.
