The computer specifications listed on this site are recommendations to support the software used by specific academic programs. These are not requirements - The Art Institute of Pittsburgh provides computer labs with the necessary hardware and software for students to complete their projects.

Software recommendations on this site are only for the student's first few quarters. Because the computer industry changes rapidly, software versions may change frequently throughout an academic program.

Students can create an account and receive discounts on software and computers from the AI Student Store. This account can be established before the student comes to school. All that is required to create the account is a copy of the student's acceptance letter.

Students may also get a discount and setup financing options from the Apple Store for Education. Check with an Apple representative for requirements.
